SAVE OUR SEAS tee, cut in organic cotton with signature roll sleeve and side splits allowing front to be knotted or tucked in, joins our iconic ACTIVISM tee collection, raising awareness and a movement towards a better world.
This is Kit Willow’s, latest collaboration, a campaign to save the oceans from plastic pollution in partnership with future planet advocate 11-year-old Melbourne student Lumi Wilson. Entitled “Save Our Seas”, the campaign aims to increase awareness and educate audiences through sales of a limited edition KITX x Save Our Seas activism tee, with 100% of proceeds going to leading conservation organisations Melbourne Zoo’s Marine Response Unit and Take 3 for the Sea.
“Microplastics are now so pervasive in the ocean and are consumed by a vast number of sea creatures. They have even been found in samples from the Mariana Trench, the deepest part of our planet.” - David Attenborough Blue Planet II, 2017
“There is no stronger and more compelling voice for change than our future generations”, said Kit Willow, “Lumi is a force for change, a voice of future generations inheriting our planet. This campaign is a call to action for everyone to adopt ocean friendly habits - we ask for your support in educating on the simple steps to a better future for marine life. We all have a part to play to prevent the use of single use plastics and unnecessary packaging, and to avoid materials such as polyester and nylon in their clothing choices, which contribute to microplastic pollution. By buying and wearing this tee, your donation not only benefits two incredible organisations - Take 3 for the Sea and Melbourne Zoo’s Marine Response Unit - it also helps to educate others every time you wear it.”
“Together, we can make a significant impact on the health of our oceans and the future of our planet.”
