During Arizona’s time working as an activist, she realised that not just the food we eat, but the clothes we wear, the wood for our buildings and interiors, the herbs for our medicine and beauty products all begin as raw materials grown in soil by farmers. Conventional farming techniques degrade our soils and contribute to climate change, after discovering this, DIRT was created by Arizona. DIRT is developing a long term solution through biodynamic farming and the regeneration of soil to ensure the materials grown for textiles support the regeneration of the Earth. Dirt’s mission is to grow and process all fashion’s raw materials biodynamically, in order to prevent harm to the earth’s natural habitats.
