Silk is a natural fibre and as such, pure silk is biodegradable. Silkworms feed on cultivated Mulberry Trees which unlike cotton require little to no pesticides and far less water. In contrast to livestock, insects have an incredibly low carbon footprint and, in this way, can be viewed as environmentally friendly.

Our 100% silk fabric, sourced from Chinese based mill, is Bluesign approved. Under the strict Bluesign criteria, manufacturers are required to act responsibly and sustainably with regard to people, the environment and ensure consistent transparency and traceability of all processing steps.
